Cyber Security Awareness Month
October is Cyber Security Awareness Month
Cybersecurity is the need of the era. Everything nowadays is online, which also means we are highly vulnerable to cyber-attacks. To help us all become more aware of what we can do to be safe online, October has been designated, by world leading countries, as a time of year to step up our efforts and increase knowledge of online safety. The aim is to raise awareness of cyber security across the world about the importance of cybersecurity.
At CGRC, we take cybersecurity seriously every day of the year. CGRC has designed many activities to celebrate Cyber Security Awareness Month (CSAM) to engage and educate public and private sector partners through events and initiatives to raise awareness about the importance of cybersecurity, provide them with resources needed to stay safe online, and increase the resiliency of the nation in the event of a cyber incident.
Cyber criminals do not discriminate; they target vulnerable computer systems regardless of whether they are part of a large corporation, a small business, or belong to a home user. As part of this, CGRC offers some useful resources based on international cyber security campaigns for all segments of the community.
